SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Serious problems in a local county's state audit.

The analysis finds the Clark County auditor's office illegally changed some property tax bills.

State Auditor Mary Taylor also says some documents identifying property tax values and subsequent changes are missing.

Removing or destroying those records violates state law.

The issues are being referred to the Ohio Department of Taxation.

Clark County Auditor George Sodders disputes the findings about property values changes and says his employees did nothing wrong.
