WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) -- Federal investigators say confusing highway

signs, driver error and a lack of passenger safety features

contributed to last year's deadly Bluffton bus crash.

Five baseball team members from northwest Ohio's Bluffton

University were killed when their bus went hurtling off an Atlanta

interstate highway overpass. The bus driver and his wife also died,

and 28 of the student athletes were injured.

The National Transportation Safety Board released its findings

in the wreck today. Officials say the driver thought he was getting

into a carpool lane when he drove onto an elevated exit ramp and

plowed through a stop sign at the top.

Parents of several of the crash victims appeared at the meeting

to call for stronger bus safety regulations.
