Protest Continues Against Local Restaurant
03/24/2008 07:51:05
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio --Dozens of people protest facing accusastions of racial descrimination. Protestors claim a group of black teenagers was not served at the Applebee's in Springfield in February.
The group contends they waited more than half an hour to be seated before being told to leave because; "you people" did not pay your bills in a previous visit.
The Ohio Civil Rights Commission voted unanimously to uphold a finding against the restaurant in Springfield, saying it turned away a group of customers based on race.
