P.F. Changs Worker May Have Spread Hepatitis A

03/30/2008 10:26:46

HAMILTON, Ohio -- Health officials are warning patrons who dined at P.F. Chang's China Bistro on Civic Centre Boulevard in West Chester Township from March 14-25 that a food service worker there was ill with hepatitis A.
People who dined there, consumed ice, beverages with ice, ice cream or lemons should check with a health-care provider or the Butler County Health Department for assessment and possible vaccination.
The illness is spread by close person-to-person contact or by consuming contaminated food. Symptoms include fever, malaise, anorexia, nausea, abdominal discomfort, dark urine, clay-colored stools and jaundice.
Many infections are mild and without jaundice, according to health officials. The incubation period is two to six weeks.
