Crew Hits Gas Line Causing Jam

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A severed gas line brings traffic to a standstill along one of Springfield busiest streets.
Construction crews hit the line Thursday on South Fountaine Avenue between Columbia and Main Streets. The crew was installing a fiber optics line when they cut through the 1 inch plastic service line. The line was capped off by Columbia gas crews and traffic was restored.
