FAIRBORN, Ohio -- Fairborn police are investigating a strange Sunday night standoff where there was no one apparently on the other end.
Cops got a call about a domestic dispute on Pat Lane around eight last night. They believed that David Alvis was inside the house armed with a gun.
The officers were talking to Alvis on his cell phone as they surrounded the house.
Turns out Alvis wasn't there, apparently leaving the residence before they arrived.
