Talker's Magazine named Boortz as one of "The 25 most important talk show hosts in America" and "America's best male talk show host." He is a product of a Marine Corps upbringing, has a Texas A&M undergraduate education, and a law degree. For fifteen years Boortz combined his talk show with a successful law practice. He has been a full-time radio host since 1992.
